Unit 29 Point 3 - Music Video Treatment Budget

Treatment Budget

Tape: SD Cards costs £20 each but can film a lot on it for an hour each card.
Transport:
To catch a train Shenstone to Burton to film the Studio, which I have a train pass that has been already paid as I pay £25 month.
Filming in Shenstone, Chevy will have to catch the train Derby to Shenstone which the tickets cost £13.25p.
Actors Mike & Steph going by car so they are paying their own patrol.
Accommodation:
Chevy will be staying at my house for the night as we need to film at night in the bedroom and dining room also in case we have to film the next day to film the outside of Strickland walking on the pavement. So my parents will be doing the food for us.
Editing Time:
With the SD Cards they need to be transcode on MECPEC so that the footage can play on final cut pro, so Trancoding might take hours depending how much we have filmed, it might take all day.
Editing a music video might take three days to edit as it takes ages to edit a music video with the synching to the lips of the lyrics and the cutting to make it flow.
Subsistence:
I and Chevy will be eating at home, as my parents will be doing the food for us. So it will cost about £10 for the weekend.
Special Equipment:
DSR 550D Camera, DSR 600D Camera (Studio), tripod, Zoom Mica, boom, Reflector and Light kit.
Crewing:
The crew is Chevy being the cameraman and Lighting, Duane will be helping out with the sound (Boom & Zoom Mica) for the dialogue in the music video. I’m the Director, Scriptwriter and Actor playing as Strickland Banks, doing the lip syncing.
Copyright:
The copyright will be from YouTube getting the Song for the video as it is open and freely given to use. With YouTube do not have to pay but for a real production, need to pay the copyrights.
But the song is from Plan B and the music video is for him, but it’s a college assignment so I have to ask without his permission. But if it was for real it will have to be copyrighted from Plan B’s record label and we will have to pay for it and him to do it. which might cost thousands or millions.
BUDGETING TIP:
The music video is going to be around 6 minutes long so I will be filming for three days as I am filming a performance in the college studio for one day for 2 hours. For a day you are supposing to film 3 minutes, which means a good day of filming. So I am filming at the weekend, on Saturday filming at 12pm to 11pm including having breaks. Sunday filming for hour or 2 hours.
